On September 4, 2018, the team of the Department of Continuing Professional Development and Educational Cooperation (IWQ) warmly welcomed Vice-principal Ms. Meng-Ping Tsuei and Professor Ms. Ya-Hui Wang from the National Taipei University of Taipei (Taiwan).
With the intention of meeting our guests’ interests, Ms. Tsuei and Ms. Wang were introduced to the Organization of the Practical Studies, the Bachelor Studies of Elementary and Primary Education, including the mobility program Erasmus+. In addition, the guests participated in a discussion of mutual cooperation projects at the University College of Teacher Education Vienna.
First, the guests were shown around the Primary School for Pre-service Classroom Teaching (PVS) followed by a Q&A session with Ms. Sabine Jakl, the Headteacher and Ms. Manuala Burtscher-Ebner a schools’ teacher.
To continue, Ms. Natascha Taslimi, a team member of the Department of Elementary and Primary Education (DEP), presented the Bachelor Studies of Elementary Education, a program starting in October 2018. Next, Ms. Sabine Martich, DEP- program director, delivered an overview presentation on the Bachelor Studies for Primary Level Teacher Education at the University College of Teacher Education Vienna.
Head of the International Office, Mr. Thomas Bauer, concluded the event by highlighting the importance of student and staff mobility among international cooperation partners. Following this was an exchange of opportunities for a bilateral cooperation with the University College of Teacher Education.
Upon the exchange of fond farewells, Ms. Wang and Ms. Tsuei expressed their genuine gratitude to all involved parties for a thoroughly prepared program. The team of the Department of Continuing Professional Development and Educational Cooperation is looking forward to a successful cooperation with the National Taipei University of Education.
