Erasmus + Teaching Mobility Ukraine/ Projekt KA 107

The contract between the Ternopil National Economic University, the Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk Pedagogical University and the University College of Teacher Education Vienna which was signed in August 2018, had covered only Staff Mobility until now. The contract extension for international students exchange required the implementation of an International Programme. One of my tasks was realization of this project and creation of the package of relevant courses of 30 ECTS-Credits for our Outgoing Students. Together with one extremely helpful Ukrainian colleague, we compared precisely the curricula of both universities as well as that of the University College of Teacher Education Vienna (PH Wien) in order to provide our Outgoings with a smooth study visit. The homepage of the PH Wien shows the gratifying result of the contract extension.

Besides the implementation I was allowed not only to attend some lectures for Ukrainian and also international students, but also to lead them. Some of the contents were grammar, vocabulary, geography and economics in both German and English. This resulted in detailed discussions with students and colleagues.

Meetings with students, colleagues, lecturers, deans, institute directors, vice rectors and rectors and the resulting discussions were for me not only business but also private truly horizon-broadening.

My visit to Ternopil was completed with an international symposium on the subject of “Soft Skills”.

At the Drohobytsch State Pedagogical University of Ivan Franko – the already renowned partner university – I was allowed to lead some courses and to hold interesting discussions with students and colleagues. The level of interest in spending one semester at the PH Wien shown by the students is incredibly high.
